LETTER: Major road work for new homes

Once again having read the headline of the West Sussex County Times (Horsham edition May 22), I discover that we have further been duped in the size of current housing developments surrounding Horsham.

We are now being made aware of the major construction road works to facilitate the 2,000 new homes being built at Highwood and Wickhurst Green.

With this huge development underway why do we need the massive North Horsham (A264) development of 2,500 additional houses – which no-one is in favour of?

Who is going to buy these houses and where will the employment prospects come from? Let me guess – the Gatwick Airport expansion?

This being the only opportunity that arises following Novartis exit and the downsizing of Sun Alliance.

What is Horsham District Council doing to this town and where will it end?
