As there were no wars to fight (as per our parents), jobs and employment were plentiful, and housing available, after the usual sacrifices being made, with steady development to 2015.

With us OAPs - the golden generation - being so well looked after in most cases it may be time to be thinking of giving something back to our community.

These are difficult times for so many not so fortunate as ourselves.

There is so much still to do. And what better way than to spend a little time and make a contribution in any small way possible.
