Lots of people gave up their time to give the children an insight into countries such as France, Spain, Russia, Hungary, China, Ireland and India.

Children had lots of fun learning about Ancient Latin and the remarkable Romans, and also found out what it was like to work as a travel steward on an aeroplane.

Opportunities to try new foods were rapidly seized and many enjoyed taking part in the games and dancing activities.

In class, teachers planned exciting and thought-provoking activities to encourage children to think and learn about life in other countries. Aspects such as education and housing were focused on and children were asked to reflect on the rights that all children have across the world. It was a very special day where the community came together to value the things that make each culture unique.
