Recently girls and leaders in our area have taken part in the Big Brownie Birthday celebrations, many Guide camps and Brownie holidays, a Guide canal trip, and joining an international trip to Serbia to name but a few.

Girlguiding has an ongoing campaign to seek out more adult members. The organisation is hugely popular, with more than half a million members and volunteers around the UK.

One of our new Leaders says that “Volunteering with Girlguiding gives me a huge sense of achievement when I think of how much the girls in my unit have grown in confidence in the time I have known them. I have also become more confident and the skills and experiences I have gained through guiding are really influencing my future career.”Girlguiding offers a range of flexible volunteering opportunities to enable girls and young women to grow in confidence and discover their full potential in a safe, girl-only led space.
