The older children our ‘Butterfly Group’ enjoyed watching Jessica set some newly hatched butterflies free in the morning and we followed in the afternoon as usual, when the beach came to playgroup as we held our beach party which has now become a tradition at playgroup with the opportunity to get all the adults wet in the most enormous water ‘fight’.

The children enjoyed a lunch of fish fingers, chips and mushy peas, before having a great time in the paddling pools and on the sand activities followed later by ice lollies ‘sold’ in the HIPG ice-cream shop.

Great fun was had by all, adults and children alike with some very wet parent helpers too.

The children were presented with a book and each child receives a compilation DVD with pictures of their time spent at playgroup set to music as a gift.

We wish all our leavers the very best of luck as they move onwards in their educational journey and as usual we will miss them so much.

The playgroup runs daily in the term time from the Church Rooms in Southwater and has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, with a ‘sister’ full day care setting due to open in October in Horsham.
