Full Moon fundraiser

The event will feature an array of local talent, with proceeds going to support Klongbangkrateuk primary school located in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

Comedians Harry Steele and Phil Jerrod will get the evening off to a humorous start. Brighton eight piece – Kings Mews – will then takeover providing infectious feel good tunes and horn led grooves you can’t help but move to. The party is then set to continue until the early hours of the morning in the safe hands of DJ Johnny Potatoes.

Entertainment aside, all tickets will include a delicious Thai street food feast, featuring over eight dishes (cold), to be provided courtesy of the Sussex Produce Company. Each guest will also be greeted by a welcome drink to start the evening with a swing.

Proceeds from the evening go to support Klongbangkrateuk School. In 2012, the school commissioned an English programme taught by native English speakers. One of the organisers behind the event, Clementine, was privileged to join the teaching staff in 2012/2013.

At that time, Klongbangkrateuk was recovering from severe damage caused by the floods in 2011. The school was covered by 2ft of water and had to be gutted, the majority of equipment was spoiled. Upon returning to the UK, Clementine heard the school had been forced to discontinue the English programme due to budgetary constraints. Having seen the challenges faced by the school first hand, Clementine was motivated to help in some way - and the Full Moon Fundraiser was born.
