Festive fun with fundraising online game

Specialist civil engineering and groundwork distributors, Rudridge, will be replacing traditional Christmas cards for their customers and suppliers with a fun online game and donating the money they would normally spend on cards and postage to the children’s charity, The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity.

Horsham-based Rudridge’s electronic Christmas cards with a difference celebrate the company’s sponsorship of the UK’s Strongest Man competition and the second consecutive year they have been involved with the televised event.

Inspired by the real life competition, the digital Strongman Truck Pull game allows individuals to choose to take part as previous UK Strongest Man champion Glenn Ross or this year’s winner Eddie Hall.

Players are tasked with pulling a truck along a course, hitting pipes out of the way and picking up ‘power-ups’ as they go in order to win points.

Darren Price, Group Operations Manager at Rudridge, said: “This is the second year we have decided to forgo the traditional corporate Christmas card in favour of a more eco-friendly and charitable delivery.

“We are pleased to be supporting such a worthwhile cause and donating to The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity.

“Last year’s game proved to be very popular and quite addictive for our recipients so we are looking forward to spreading more festive fun this Christmas.”
