Partnership vice-chairman Neville de Moraes handed over a cheque for £700 to school PTA treasurer Sue Powell on Wednesday May 21.

The money came from advertising payments on a community noticeboard in Budgens, installed by the HCP.

PTA chairman Richard Lucy and Knight’s Budgens assistant manager Jenny Allaston were at the presentation with HCP noticeboard organiser Bill Shelton.

School headteacher Nick Phillips said: “This equipment and the funds donated show what a close relationship the school has with the village and the wider community.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support we get and for the close links we have with local organisations.”

The listening centre enables children to listen to cds and story tapes to help with their reading.
