Over 250 children along with special guest Barnaby the Bunny thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt held on 2nd April at the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy, based in Five Oaks, Billingshurst.

The event, now in its second year, kicked off with an ‘eggs-cellent’ hunt through the woods searching for clues to find out the name of Barnaby’s favourite woodland friend (which was the woodpecker!), face painting and a special trip on the ‘Easter Bunny Express’ miniature steam train kindly made possible by the volunteers of the Ingfield Light Railway.

The charity were delighted with the £1,725 raised on the day to support the service they provide to babies and young children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning difficulties. Nikki Cannon, Regional Fundraiser said ‘I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who attended, the companies and individuals who contributed to the event and to those who volunteered their time for making the day such a success for the charity.’
