Discover specialist plants and foodie delights at St Catherine’s Hospice fair

Head gardener Tom Brown of Parham House is the guest speaker at the Garden and Local Produce Fair at 11am assisted by fair ambassador Jean Griffin, the voice of garden programmes for BBC Radio Sussex, Surrey and Kent, who will be on hand during the day to answer your gardening questions.

South Lodge Hotel, near Horsham (RH13 6PS), is to be new venue for the St Catherine’s Hospice Garden and Local Produce Fair this year on Thursday 14th May.

The Fair opens at 8.30am-10.30am for a Bubbly Breakfast Preview, tickets at £12.5pp can be booked by calling 01293 447367. Enjoy a relaxing BBQ breakfast that includes fresh fruit, pastries and muesli, as well as the first pickings of excellent stalls.

General admission is at 10.30am at £4 per person, with Jean Griffin doing the honours of officially opening the fair. Please be aware of uneven ground throughout. Free parking and disabled toilets.

It is not too late to book the South Lodge BBQ lunch, at £12.50pp, on 01403 891711, we strongly advise pre-booking as places are limited.

The Fair itself offers over 50 stalls creating a ‘mini Chelsea’ in West Sussex, and as well as many specialist plants growers including Parham House and gardening accessories as well as an array of mouth watering delights await in the form of local produce.

All money raised goes to St Catherine’s’ Hospice New Horizons Appeal that continues to fund a community nurse each year through local people attending such events.
