The Dame Vera Lynn Trust benefits from grotto

Nigel Wait, Managing Director of Newbridge Nurseries at Broadbridge Heath, generously invited the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy to benefit from money raised at Santa’s Grotto over the weekend of 13th/14th December.

Chestnut Tree House Hospice for Children benefitted from other weekends. Santa’s setting was the beautiful scene of Narnia from C S Lewis’ The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe

Organised by the Rotary Club of Billingshurst in conjunction with Newbridge, Santa visited for five weekends accompanied by his elves. Such a busy man at this time of year!

Newbridge Nurseries were kind enough to donate a present to every child who visited and every entry fee to see Santa was given to the charity.

This enormously generous gesture raised a magnificent £1562.50 for the Dame Vera Lynn Trust. Rosie Wyer, Regional Fundraiser, wants to send huge thanks to Nigel and to Billingshurst Rotary for this lovely opportunity and for a really fun time.
