Care home residents enjoy Halloween fun

Residents at Knowle Park Nursing Home in Cranleigh joined in the fun of Halloween by creating their own carved pumpkins, Halloween paintings and dressed up as witches to celebrate the annual festival.

The care home, which provides residential nursing and dementia care for 43 people in a magnificent nineteenth century manor house, offers regular activities for all of its residents to help retain optimum wellbeing.

Cristina Marin, Recreational Activities Co-ordinator, Knowle Park Nursing Home, says: “Everyone thinks that if you’re in a nursing home life could be rather gloomy - but it’s not!

“Our residents really enjoyed Halloween this year and were very keen to get involved with carving pumpkins and dressing up as witches. It was definitely something to tell their grandchildren!”
