“This just seemed like too good an opportunity to miss, I have always been interested in the Bat and Ball, but I have been busy at the Three Crowns,” explained Tim.

“Andy has worked for me in the past and when he called me about the opportunity at the Bat and Ball and us working in partnership I couldn’t resist!”

The duo alongside Hall & Woodhouse have performed a miracle refurbishment with a small budget and an even smaller timescale.

“We wanted to keep the offer simple, we’re a pub, with a campsite and we serve fantastic pizza,” added Andy.

“We also have two luxury Shepherd Huts which can be used for glamping.”

The Bat and Ball closed in November 2012 after Hall & Woodhouse were unable to secure planning permission to improve this much loved public house. The previous Business Partners struggled to make it a profitable business in its current state. “Our intention is to run the Bat and Ball until planning is granted, we will then discuss how our partnership can continue with Hall & Woodhouse.” Explains Tim.

Matt Kearsey, Business Partenrships Director comments “We are delighted to have the Bat and Ball open and trading again, Tim and Andy have done a fantastic job and we are looking forward to working with them.”
