Are your pictures head and shoulders above the rest?

Photographers can see their work go on display at Worthing Hospital, by entering a competition to help decorate the walls of a new department.

Staff at the new Head and Neck facility want to use photos taken by local people to adorn the walls of their unit, which has been created by the merger of the old Ear, Nose and Throat and Maxillofacial departments.

There are two categories in the competition – entrants can submit images either in the ‘West Sussex’ section, or ‘Head and Neck’, to reflect the clinical work of the team.

So whether you take a classic image of the Downs or the coast, or an arty shot of an ear, you have a chance to see your work on public display, in a place where it will also be seen by thousands of people every year.

The Trust invites people from across West
Sussex to submit pictures that are appropriate for display in public areas and that are interesting, stimulating, amusing or just beautiful for our patients, visitors and staff to look at.

A selection of the best entries will be hung on the walls of the new department, and there will also be prizes for the top three entries for each category, as well as an overall winner.

Each entrant can submit up to three high-res JPEG images, by emailing them to [email protected], and they must be accompanied by a short – no more than 50 words – description of the image, including when and where it was taken.
