Age UK Horsham District has recently launched their ‘Spread The Warmth’ campaign that looks to support older people during the winter months. Many of these services are completely free and prevent the harmful effects of cold weather escalating.

It is estimated that cold homes cost the NHS and UK tax payer £1.36 billion in England alone each year. Age UK Horsham District offer solutions that can reduce the strain on these local services. Money raised at the Christmas Fayre will help these services continue. For more information on the Spread The Warmth campaign, visit their website www.ageukhorshamdistrict.org.uk.

Age UK Horsham District will be keeping Lavinia House open on Christmas Day and inviting older people who would otherwise be alone to join them for Christmas dinner, games, entertainment and gifts.
