LETTER: Viability of North Horsham plans

Since my recent letter of January 14 suggesting that your readers may wish to write to the Chairman of Liberty USA Mr William P. Hankowsky, the email address I was given was incorrect.

It should have been [email protected] – no dot after his initial. Not surprisingly, Mr Hankowsky ignored the points I raised and referred me to Mr Blevins – obviously fully confident in his local man.

‘MALVERN, Pa., Dec. 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Liberty Property Trust (NYSE:LPT) today announced that its board of trustees has declared a cash dividend of $0.475 per share on the company’s common shares of beneficial interest for the fourth quarter of 2015. The dividend will be payable on January 15, 2016 to shareholders of record on January 4, 2016... Liberty Property Trust (NYSE:LPT) is a leader in commercial real estate, serving customers in the United States and United Kingdom, through the development, acquisition, ownership and management of superior office and industrial properties. Liberty’s 104 million square foot portfolio includes 689 properties which provide office, distribution and light manufacturing facilities to 1,650 tenants.Inquiries: Jeanne Leonard, Liberty Property Trust, 610.648.1704 Liberty Property Trust’.

The claims about Liberty’s UK achievements - in view of the experience of residents at their only UK site in Kent – is hardly convincing.

Mr Hankowsky writes glowingly about this and their other development with the NJS at Cambridge Biomedical Centre.

The letter that I wrote to Mr Hankowsky (www.savingnorthhorsham.co.uk) posed the question as to really how viable is the proposed Liberty development in North Horsham with the huge infrastructure costs biting into Liberty’s hoped for 20 per cent-plus profits?

Dr GEOFFREY RICHARDSON

Tennyson Close, Horsham
