Wonderful time in woodland area

Since opening our Woodland Walk in June, the children and families have had a wonderful time in the woodland area next to the hospice, using the wheelchair-accessible pathway to explore the bug zone, the tepee, the tunnel and stick walk before stopping for a rest in the picnic area.

It is very uplifting to see how much the children are enjoying the sensory aspects of this area – touching the textured bark on the trees, watching the butterflies and creepy crawlies, hearing the wind through the leaves and smelling the wildflowers growing alongside the path.

We are now preparing for the final addition to the Woodland Walk – our amazing treehouse which has been donated to us thanks to numerous generous benefactors.
