One person taken to hospital after crash between car and bus on Worthing Road

Emergency services were called to the scene and the road was shut in Southwater due to the incident.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “I can confirm we attended the scene and assessed three patients, one of whom was taken to East Surrey Hospital for further checks.

Sussex Police added: “At 3.15pm on Thursday 29 April a bus and a car collided in Worthing Road, Southwater. Three people on the bus received medical treatment at the scene but their conditions were not described as serious.”
