Notable bellringer's life celebrated

A band of five bellringers from Horsham and five bellringers from Warnham gathered at St Mary's church Horsham on Sunday January 24 and rang a quarter peal of 1259 changes of Grandsire Caters to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Henry Burstow the notable bellringer and folk singer who died January 30, 1916.

From Saturday March 19 to Friday July 1 Horsham museum will be holding an exhibition celebrating the life of Henry Burstow which will give a fascinating glimpse into Victorian Horsham and include amazing photographs and pictures.

On Saturday April 9 the Horsham Festival of Bells 250 will take place in the Carfax to mark the 250th anniversary of the first peal of 5040 changes rung in Horsham.
