THE year is ending on a mild and wet note, according to Netweather.
Cloud is spilling in from the west today, spreading eastwards across all areas during the day.
The rain clears eastern areas in the early hours of New Year’s Eve to clearer spells, though remaining cloudy with further intermittent rain across western areas.
New Year’s Eve looks like being a generally cloudy day, with some patchy rain later across the south.
Very mild everywhere, though, despite the strong southwesterly breeze, with temperatures reaching 11-13C widely.
For those out celebrating in the evening, it will be mild, breezy and generally cloudy, with some patchy light rain possible almost anywhere.
Then New Year’s Day should see patchy rain clear southern areas, remaining mild.
Into the first week of the New Year, it looks like remaining unsettled but on the chilly side,
