Motorists rescued from flood waters by firefighters

Several motorists were rescued from flood waters by firefighters across the Horsham area over the wekend.

On Friday evening crews rescued two people in separate flooding incidents on the A272 near Wisborough Green. The first involved a man stuck in flood water, while the second required firefighters to use float lines and life jackets to rescue a woman from her car.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service also attended flooded properties in Worthing Road, Dial Post, Needles Close in Horsham, and Horsham Road in Steyning over the course of Friday.

Meanwhile on Saturday firefighters were called to the A29 in Pulborough just after 4am where a car and driver were stuck in flood water.
