PLANS for 131 homes along the A24 at Southwater have been given the go ahead by Horsham planners as long as ‘major issues’ are resolved.
Bovis Homes applied to build 38 two bedroom, 53 three bedroom and 40 four bedroom houses or flats with access, parking, landscaping and infrastructure on land east of Turners Close and east and south of Millfield, Southwater.
The council’s development control committee agreed on Tuesday to delegate the application with a view to approval subject to further negotiations, more information and amended plans on certain issues, as well as completion of a legal agreement on affordable homes and infrastructure.
More than 70 letters were received by the council on the application, including 33 objections from neighbours to the original plans and a further 19 to the amended plans.
