The idea is to be discussed at a parish council meeting at Billingshurst Community Centre tomorrow evening, with all welcome to attend and have their say.

It follows a door-to-door survey of residents close to the site by consultants for the prospective developers Curtin & Co, who are due to give feedback to councillors at the meeting.

A notice on Billinghurst Parish Council’s website provides a link to this drawing of a suggested layout for a new fuel filling station on land adjacent to Newbridge Road and the A29.

The suggested site plan shows a shop area and a Subway, with an outside seating area for the fast food outlet to one side.

A car wash and a jet wash are also included in the layout drawing, which shows access from the A272.

No planning application has been submitted at this stage and the developers may change the designs following consultation.
