Man struck by train in Arundel suffered fatal injuries

An inquest has been opened into the death of a 43-year-old man who was struck by a train in Arundel.

Oliver Augustus Stanley, an unemployed single man who lived in The Slipe, Arundel, was struck by a train at the Mill Road railway crossing at around 2.17pm on Friday, March, 15, suffering fatal injuries.

A postmortem at Worthing Hospital found the cause of death to be multiple injuries, the inquest at Crawley Coroner’s Court heard on Tuesday.

The inquest was adjourned.
