Man robbed on bridge in Horsham

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 30-year-old man was robbed in Horsham.

The victim was approached by three hooded men as he crossed St Mary’s bridge from the Memorial Gardens behind Sainsburys towards Horsham Cricket Club.

The men threatened him, demanding that he empty his pockets.

He handed over a wallet and a mobile phone and the men ran off.

One of the suspects was wearing a grey hooded top and ran towards Worthing Road on the Sainsburys side of the river. The other two men headed off past the tennis courts in the direction of Cricketfield Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident, which happened on December 9 at around 7.30pm, to contact 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 768 of 10/12.
