Man dies in A24 Copsale collision

A 40-year-old man tragically died in a collision with a car on the A24 at Copsale on Friday night (21 December).

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was in collision with the pedestrian in the southbound carriageway at about 11.30pm.

The man, who is believed to be from the Worthing area, has yet to be officially identified. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Sgt Alan Spicer, Roads Policing Unit, said: “The man tragically died following the collision and we are appealing for anyone who saw him before or at the time of the collision to call police on 101 quoting Operation Milldale or email”
