Loxwood have bolstered their attacking options with the re-signing of striker Charlie Pitcher.
The young forward left the Magpies for Ryman League South Division side Horsham in the summer, but soon after made the switch to Southern Combination League high-flyers Shoreham.
Neither moved worked out for the forward with Loxwood boss Mark Beard revealing Pitcher approached him about a return as he felt he was being played out of position.
Having netted 25 times for the Plaistow Road side last season, Beard is pleased to have the goal-getter back.
He said: “He said he was frustrated at playing out of position at Horsham and then Shoreham. He asked to come back and I said yes, he’ll add more quality.
“He just wanted to play higher and had a go at Horsham, but was playing on the wing and he’s not a winger. He’s a goal scorer.
“He’s a great addition and we have plenty of competition for places now with Toby House, Michael Wood, Mark Cave and Jay Lovett who can all play up there.
“Hopefully he will be in the squad for Saturday (away to Lancing).”
