LETTER: Area a developer’s ‘paradise’

In the absence of a local plan this area has become a paradise for predatory property developers.

I should like to remind Councillors that when they consider planning applications development levies, party and personal concerns are of no consequence.

Councillors are elected to champion the views and interests of the electorate which is protesting against the strain unfettered development puts on all forms of resources e.g. schools, medical care, water supplies, transport, retail outlets, the ‘green belt’ itself.

Has this commitment been lost sight of?
