Twenty two children from Holy Innocents Playgroup in Southwater held their end of term ‘beach party’ recently when the beach came to playgroup in the form of paddling pools and masses of sand.
Children enjoyed a lunch of fish fingers and chips and then prepared to do battle in the annual leaver’s water fight where all those present have to be prepared for a soaking.
Staff joined in with the children and when all were exhausted they all sat for ice creams ahead of the leaver’s presentation where all the children leaving playgroup to go on to ‘big school’ in September were presented with a book from their key person.
All children had a fun afternoon and we wish them well as they continue forwards onto their formal education
Holy Innocents Playgroup is run at the Church Room Southwater. For further details visit www.holyinnocentsplaygroup.co.uk
