Leading child charity moves county office to Horsham

THE COUNTRY’S leading charity for bereaved children has relocated its West Sussex office to Horsham.

Winston’s Wish, which offers practical support and guidance to bereaved children, has had an office in West Sussex since 2006 and last week they moved from Crawley to Springfield Road in Horsham town centre.

Family services team leader at the West Sussex office Cate Masheder said: “We’re delighted to be in Horsham. In the week that we’ve been here we have been made to feel very welcome in the town.

“We are looking forward to meeting the community and local businesses in the area and continuing our work with bereaved children, young people and their families at a time when they need support the most.”

Since Winston’s Wish launched in the county it has supported over 500 families across West Sussex and is committed to keeping its offices in the area.

It is the only specialist provider in the UK helping children deal with bereavements through suicide, murder or manslaughter.

Cate continued: “We chose Horsham as it is a convenient town for our families to access, with its family friendly facilities and with good transport links for families visiting us for our national services.

“The new office is more spacious than our previous office, allowing us to offer more group work from our base and grow the services we offer.”
