Last call to voters

A LAST chance call out is being made to electors to make sure they are registered to vote in this year’s local election and referendum of the voting system.

All 44 seats at Horsham District Council are being contested whilst all 32 parish councils in the Horsham district are also up for re-election.

The election will be taking place on Thursday May 5 and residents are being reminded that if they think they may be away during April or May it will be worth applying for a postal vote to make sure they don’t lose their vote.

A referendum of the voting system at parliamentary elections will be held on the same day at all polling stations.

To vote at the election by post, or at a polling station, residents need to be on the Register of Electors.

Those who have recently moved may wish to register at their new address so that they can vote for a councillor in their new area.

The deadline for voter registration is 5pm on Thursday April 14.

Don’t leave it to the last minute - to apply to register or vote by post, contact Horsham District Council’s elections helpline on 01403 215126 or visit for more information. To find out more about the referendum please visit
