Large emergency service presence in Storrington

Police, ambulance staff and firefighters were seen in Windmill Copse on Saturday, October 3.

The ambulance service has now confirmed it was responding to concerns for the welfare of a person.

A spokesman added: “One ambulance crew attended but they were not required to take anyone to hospital and remained on scene until the person was brought to safety.”

The fire service and Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
