Actress Julie Walters will add extra glamour to Horsham when she visits Swan Walk Shopping Centre this afternoon (Wednesday August 19).

She will be signing elephants as part of the town’s popular Elephantastic project, led by Horsham Rotary.

The star, best known for her roles in Educating Rita and Harry Potter, will be in Swan Walk at 2.30pm as part of her role as patron of the Samaritans of Horsham and Crawley.

Charity director Sue Jago said: “We are very grateful to Horsham Publications and Ritchie Phillips for each supplying an elephant for us and to Collyer’s art students for decorating them so beautifully.

“The icing on the cake is to have Julie Walters signing them in person. Needless to say we are thrilled.”
