The Horsham in Bloom judges were touched by theWW1 tributes in the front garden competition entries this year.
Union flags, posters and helmets abounded, enhancing beautiful poppy filled gardens.
Mary Humphrey of Drake Close was first again, with David Parker of Cottage Close second.
Les Hollman of Clarence Road, came third with his colourful beds and model biplanes .
Mrs P.Matthews of Depot Road and Janice Clark of Howard Road were commended.
Mr & Mrs Smith of Blackbridge Lane won the Container class, with June Speller of Jockey Mead 2nd.
Mr & Mrs Manwaring of Michell Close won a special prize for their WW1 memorial.
Age UK at Lavinia House won the Community Project competition, with Horsham Green Gym second.
Cootes Pond volunteers were 3rd with New Street garden volunteers best new entrant and Hills Place commended
The Best kept allotment belongs to Ray Bathie of Bennetts Allotments with Joe Cipollaro of Chesworth 2nd. Sally Birchmore of Bennetts was third, and four new entrants won Best newcomer, they were Danny Stoner, Birds Farm, Bill Cable, Chesworth, Colin Speller, Depot Road and Ms McCurrach of Shelley.
