Grace Carnegie-Brown, 66 set up the magazine with her friend Annabel Simons, 60. Now both have won the social influencers award in the Amazing Women 50 Over 50 Awards run by Woman and Home magazine. Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley presented them the award. Other winners at the ceremony, held at Claridges in London, included Mary Berry.

The duo said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award for CountryWives and it was so wonderful to be part of this event which celebrates amazing women over 50. We were inspired by numerous older women when we set up our online magazine which shares all that’s positive about being older women.”

Annabel and Grace set up CountryWives as a weekly inspiration for women over 50, eight years ago.
