He confirmed the store will close at 5.30pm on Saturday (October 6) which was ‘one of the hardest decisions he’d had to make’.

He said: “After much soul searching and emotional turmoil I have decided to close down ‘The Board Game Shop’ as a high street shop.”
Andy explained he was working 50 hour weeks and needed to rethink his work and life balance for both himself and his family.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of my wonderful customers who have supported me and to everybody that has participated in the thousands of events I have organised during this roller coaster ride that is modern day retail.

“I have been really humbled by the amount of comments and good will messages I have had and the affect the shop seems to have had on all the people in Horsham, that’s quite an achievement in my eyes.”

He said he was hoping to carry on the business online.

He added: “The All Day Board Game Day at Brighton Road Baptist Church on Saturday 24th November 2018 will still go ahead.”
