She said: “The whole day provided a great opportunity for the students to experience a professional dance environment at an extremely high level.

“The students learnt a long section from the professional work, Justitia. They also had the unique opportunity to experience what it is like to work in the company and the kind of creative choreographic tasks they would do. The sessions were really full-on! Fun, but tiring!

Dance teacher Hayley Ovens, who helped co-ordinate the action packed day, was delighted: “Our amazing students took everything in and were hugely inspired to aspire to these high levels. The Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company were brilliant.”

Emma Gogan added: “The workshops pushed our students to the limit and really made many of them work outside their comfort zone to elite levels of performance! Our dancers really enjoyed the experience!”

Assistant Principal, Andrea John said: “Huge thanks to the Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company, Emma Gogan, Hayley Ovens and course, our wonderful students, for making today’s event possible.

“We are massively proud of dance at Collyer’s, and it is quite rightly regarded as one of the top sixth form dance departments in the UK.”
