Horsham St John Ambulance divisional president Trevor Vaughan said: “It is a real honour for our division to be organising this year’s carol service.

“It is a chance to celebrate all the wonderful work carried out by our volunteers throughout the year – work which makes such a big difference to so many people’s lives and in many cases saves lives.’

The carol service, which starts at 2.30pm, is being supported by the local Parish Council, Nuthurst Choir, Tesco Extra in Horsham and JR Print.

St John Ambulance has more than 1,000 adult volunteers and more than 700 youth members in Sussex.
