WSFRS will be demonstrating its commitment to improving the safety of county roads by working with partners to arrange events with road safety messages for the communities.

Fire crews will be working to get safety messages across to road users, in particular to pedestrians, young drivers, cyclists and motorcyclists.

Paul Fuller, president of the Chief Fire Officers Association, said: “We know that fire and rescue services have already helped to improve road safety, through targeted local educational programmes.

“This week of events and activities will allow us to engage with partners and our local communities to work towards our ultimate goal of zero deaths and reduced injuries on UK roads.”

WSFRS have warned death and injuries on the road affect both the individual and their family.
