Horsham-based Top Paddock Dairy announce the launch of their sheep milk ice cream, Friezee.

After 16 months of recipe and taste trials the Madagascan vanilla flavour is available this month.

“Our ewes are Friesland breed, and ice cream is very cold, so I called it Friezee and the name stuck,” said Becky van der Borgh, partner in the family sheep dairy business.

Made on Bull’s Farm where the ewes are milked, Friezee is as homemade as is possible.

“As with all foods, provenance is key to ensure the highest standards,” said Becky.

Based at Bulls Farm on the outskirts of Horsham, Becky and her husband Matt farm in partnership with Matt’s parents Sarah and Jonathan who have been custodians for almost 50 years.

Their three teenage children are also very actively involved.

Becky said:“Sheep milk is a perfect, natural product and can help people with a variety of dietary constraints.”
