Horses rescued from mud at Rudgwick
A mare and foal were trapped in mud and had to be rescued on Friday (May 3).
Firefighters were called to the river bank off Loxwood Road in Rudgwick around 10am.
The mare and foal were trapped in thick mud on the opposite steep bank of the river.
They were rescued from from the river bank using animal rescue equipment and both horses were checked over by a vet.
