Excitement is building as a brand new ten-metre high obstacle course, set to open next year, takes shape in Horsham Park.
Adventurers will have a chance to tackle the high ropes course, situated outside Pavilions in the Park leisure centre, when it opens in late February.
Work is under way on the project, which consists of a series of obstacles suspended on ropes from steel cables and interspersed with wooden platforms.
Builders have left the site for the Christmas period but are set to resume work in January.
In August 2013, the County Times reported that Horsham District Council approved DC Leisure’s plans for the facility near the leisure centre.
At the time, councillors largely welcomed the proposal.
Josh Murphy (Con, Horsham Park) said: “I think this application does have the wow factor. It could be a great attraction for Horsham.”
