Help children's charity raise vital funds by joining annual golf day

Their annual charity golf day is taking place on Thursday May 19 at Bramley Golf Club in Surrey.

All the money raised on the day will go directly to the Billingshurst-based charity which supports babies and children under 5 with Cerebral Palsy and other motor learning difficulties.

This normally private members only club set in the majestic Surrey hills has a century of golf behind it.

You could win an Audi Car, courtesy of Five Oaks in Audi who are one of the sponsors of the event, plus a three night stay for two in Portugal and two night stay for four people at the Forest of Arden sponsored by Porsche, Guildford.

Enter a team of four for £400 or if you are an individual give us a call and we could add you to a team.

You will arrive to a bacon roll, tea and coffee which are followed by an amazing round of golf.

Then a two course presentation dinner will complete the day.

Catherine Bristow, events fundraiser said: “Being a small charity we can really make a difference and guests can feel confident that by helping us by attending our events or donating they too are doing the same.

“To give you an idea of how we help, I want to share Andrew and Emma’s story whose son Henry aged 3.”

Emma’s story:

‘My husband and I found out that we were having twins, at the time we thought that this would be the biggest challenge we would face – having two babies to look after at the same time. How wrong we were!

‘Sophie came home from hospital at two days old but it would be another six long weeks and a few emergency ambulance journeys later before Henry was well enough and strong enough to make our family complete.

‘When Henry came home from hospital he was on a cocktail of medication.

‘After a few months Sophie could hold her cup but Henry just didn’t seem interested in even trying.

‘In the early days we thought he was being lazy but as he grew older we realised that there was something not right and that is when we found the charity and we simply cannot thank them enough for their help.’
