Talented local drama group Haven Heavenlies, who have delighted audiences over the past three years with their performances of classic English drama, will return in July 2014 for an open air production of Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labours Lost”.

The group is made up of local actors from the Horsham district, Rudgwick, Loxwood and Guildford and rehearse in The Haven, near Billingshurst. All the Heavenlies have a passion for Shakespeare and creating a thoroughly enjoyable experience for our audiences.

The Heavenlies are very proud and excited to announce that the group has been selected by the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Open Stages project which supports and mentors amateur theatre groups with professionally run workshops and creative input. The Open Stages project runs until April 2016 – the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare – and there will be opportunities for participating groups to showcase their productions in a professional theatre setting.

The venue for performances of “Love’s Labours Lost” has yet to be confirmed, but it will be local to Billingshurst. As usual, all proceeds will be donated to local charities.

We are actively looking for actors, dancers and strolling musicians to join us for this charity production. If you would like to be part of this exciting venture please contact Juliet on 01403 823031 or post on Haven Heavenlies’ Facebook page.
