Building on the huge success of their ‘Handmade with Love’ Christmas and spring craft events which started in 2012, Appleducks announce a new date and a new location.

Appleducks fourth ‘Handmade with Love’ Craft Fair will be held at Drill Hall in Horsham on Saturday April 26th 2014.

Appleducks founders Jo Roberts and Stephanie Brushfield of Elephant in my Handbag (elephantinmyhandbag.com- Fabric, Ribbon and other Scrummy Whatnots) are very excited to be heading West to bring Horsham its own Handmade with Love.

It will feature crafts created by talented local makers and artisans. Jo and Stephanie made the decision to expand their craft events after the success of their previous Handmade with Love events in Tunbridge Wells.

Their events have proved to be not only a huge hit with the locals of Kent and Sussex but craftspeople are hugely keen to make an appearance at an Appleducks event.

Some people commented ‘great to see so many talented local makers’, ‘the best craft event Tunbridge Wells has seen’, ‘great venue, great day’,‘such a well organised event’, ‘a great mix of crafts’.

The Spring 2014 Handmade with Love Horsham’s Drill Hall which was built for the local Battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment in 1927 and is a social centre for the town. See www.drillhall.eu for details on the venue.

The event will be from 10am until 4 pm and will feature a huge range of beautiful handmade items, all created by local based artists and makers.

As well as knitted, crocheted and hand sewn goods, there will be artwork, ceramics, cards, homeware, jewellery, food and clothing for sale.

“We are very excited to have many new stallholders for the event as well as bringing with us some stallholders who have attended our previous events,” said Stephanie of Appleducks.

Appleducks are very keen to make this an event that has something for everyone and are delighted that there will be a Pop-Up tea room and ice cream bar run by Horsham independent tea room ‘Pretty Things’.

Visitors will also have the chance to experience ‘Make ’n Take’ craft workshops supported and run by Horsham’s Shopfest Craft den (www.shopfest.co.uk).

The workshops will run throughout the day and will be suitable for adults and children alike at a very affordable £1 per item!

Appleducks have teamed up with national craft publication ‘Mollie Makes”’(www.molliemakes.com) and will be handing out FREE copies on day of Mollie Makes & their sister publications worth £4.99 to their visitors. (While stocks lasts!)

Mollie Makes is a lifestyle and craft magazine for a new generation of crafters who live and love handmade which is highly regarded in the crafting world with projects for the modern crafter.

Jo adds: “We are always keen to add value to all our events and are delighted that Mollie Makes are on board.”
