International retailer H&M has been unable to confirm it will be opening a new store in Horsham.
Rumours have been rife on social media about the fashion retailer moving to the town with the empty unit previously occupied by Optical Express, in Swan Walk shopping centre, the expected home for the new store.
Swan Walk announced at the beginning of the month a ‘large fashion retailer’ would be moving into the unit after boards went up around the outside of the shop. It has still not been confirmed by the centre whom the retailer is.
However, the County Times approached H&M for comment on a potential move to the town and a spokesperson said they could not confirm if the rumours were true.
The spokesperson said: “We cannot confirm any rumours on this opening at the moment.”
The response has come just a few days after national fashion retailer Joules announced it would be opening a new shop in the town in early September.
