Table reservations can be made for £39.93 at The Black Jug, on North Street, and this will include a glass of fizz, finger food, and a live band.

Some restaurants such as Filippo’s, Wagamama, Pizza Express and Giraffe will close early on December 31 but Giraffe will be open for a special New Year’s Day brunch.

Strada, East Street, is taking table reservations for £40 per head for their special New Year’s Eve three course menu.

Also in East Street, Restaurant Tristan is putting on a black tie evening for £100 per head.

This includes a five course taster menu and a cocktail on arrival.
