THE launch of a new green living website for the residents of Sussex was celebrated in sustainable style this Earth Day.
Sussex Green Living, a website that aims to inspire families to lead a greener life, was launched on Earth Day - Sunday April 22 - with an event for families in the countryside near Billingshurst.
The launch event at Coneyhurst included a picnic and activities such as planting bee and butterfly friendly flowers, making masks out of recycled materials, and lots of competitions.
The newly launched network provides tips on sustainable living, information on events organised by Sussex Green Living and green space and walks ideas.
Carrie Cort, founder of Sussex Green Living, said that during the launch day all the children and parents made Earth Day pledges to do their bit for the planet.
She said: “It was so sweet children as young as three made their promises to try and look after the planet better.”
Sussex Green Living plan to hold a similar event during Recycling Week from June 18 to June 24.
