This tough challenge will help the UK’s leading dementia charity continue its vital work to support the 800,000 people currently living with the condition.

Rachel said: “I decided to take part in this challenge for Alzheimer’s Society because our mother has Alzheimer’s and we know how devasting this can be for the person diagnosed and for the loved ones around them.

“It’s great to know that every mile I trek will help support people to live well with dementia today and fund research to find a cure for tomorrow. I’ve been preparing for this for 12 weeks and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive at Alzheimer’s Society, said: “We are delighted that Rachel is giving her time to support Alzheimer’s Society. One in three people over 65 will develop dementia.
