Grand Ball to raise money for Age UK

A small team has banded together to organise a grand charity ball to raise funds for Age UK Horsham District.

Led by day centre co-ordinator, Deborah Johnston, over two-thirds of the tickets have already been sold with support coming in from many local businesses.

The ball will take place on Saturday, February 23, 7pm, at South Lodge Hotel, Lower Beeding and Mrs Johnston aims to make it an evening to remember.

She said: “There will be a Champagne reception followed by dinner with entertainment and an inspirational speaker. Then there will be live music with Sound Investment, a popular local band.”

The evening will also inlcude a raffle and an auction of donated prizes.

People have been very generous in donating items for this. I am looking forward to a great night out.”

Actress, Amanda Waring, passionate campaigner for older people’s rights will speak after the meal. Amanda’s award winning film, What do you see? starring Virginia McKenna, has been used in dignity training sessions around the world.
